Metin EKİNCİ , MD, Professor
Prof. Dr. Metin Ekinci is a distinguished ophthalmologist with over two decades of experience in eye care, academic leadership, and clinical innovation. He completed his medical degree at Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine in 2001 and specialized in ophthalmology by 2006. After completing his state service, he joined Kafkas University in 2009, where he founded and developed the Department of Ophthalmology.
He became an Associate Professor in 2015 and later earned the title of Professor, continuing to train residents and provide advanced surgical care in the Eastern Anatolia region and neighboring countries. His academic contributions include around 100 national and international publications, with a primary focus on retinal diseases, cataract surgery, smart lenses, ptosis correction, and eyelid aesthetics.
Prof. Ekinci is a member of several professional organizations, including the Turkish Ophthalmological Association and the Turkish Society of Ophthalmology of Turkic Republics. He remains actively involved in research and education, contributing to the advancement of ophthalmic practices.
